BBC Children in Need hosted a lunch for Togs Calendar and many of the TOGs who have worked voluntarily for us, to help raise over 3 million pounds since we started in 2001. The lunch was held at the BBC Council chambers. Sir Terry told us all of the time the late Pauly Walters accidentally threw a plate of snorkers over the picture of Lord Reath. I am pleased to say, snorkers were not served for lunch.
Those who could stay, were taken to the BBC Club and then on a tour of the Studios.I can safely say that everyone had a wonderful time and Norman and I are very grateful to the BBC and Radio 2 for making everyone feel so welcome.
We are sorry that not every TOG could be there, but as with all things there are limited numbers.
As Edina Cloud stated " When I offered to help all those years ago, I did it because I was inspired by Terry and his devotion to the cause. I never looked for reward, but to be given a day like this is icing on the cake".
Here are some photographs of the day.
