BANDAGED - "with a little help from my friends"

We launched the CD on 6th November in London, and orders are now flooding in. The CD will cost £12.00 and £6.50 from each CD sold goes to BBC Children in Need. Included on the CD are tracks from Sir Terry Wogan and Aled Jones giving us a wonderful rendition of the Bing Crosby/David Bowie classic Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth. Sir Terry also contributes The Hippopotamus Song (Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud) and Aled is joined by the BBC Songs of Praise Junior Choir of the year, Lyndley Junior School Choir, for The Unicorn, which you may have seen on Songs of Praise. Ken Bruce and Steve Wright's Ask Elvis, have done a great version of "Donald Where's Your Troosers" which was played last Friday on the Wake Up To Wogan show, and produced great interest. Clare Teal provides a marvellous "Swing on a Star" and she joins Alan "Deadly Dedicoat, John "Boggy Marsh", Richard Allinson and a backing chorus for the title song "With a Little Help From My Friends". Mark Radcliffe and Alex Lester are featured, and Rang-A-Tang provide three backing tracks and their own version of "I wanna be like you"! Their own song "Very Terry Wogan", which has featured a few times on the breakfast show now, is also on the CD! Ed "Stewpot" Stewart joins in as well as our good friend Fiona Clarke and two othe choirs provide backing on those tracks. We hope to hear the song all over Radio 2 in the run up to Christmas, the CD will make a great Christmas present for anyone, young or old. BBC RADIO 2 MUSIC MARATHON - 14th NOVEMBER 2008

There will be a chance to pick the records on Friday as usual, if you fancy making a pledge but can't think of a suitable song, how about asking for something from BANDAGED!
